NYFW ended as fast as it began; a week of droolworthy eye candy down the runway. There were several fab collections this season too but we all have personal favorites don’t we? Here are my top picks in no particular order!:D

1. ALTUZARRA Editorial worthy cape coats, pin/rail road stripes and other workwear fabrics transformed into charming tailored coats and blouses, embroidered couture quality evening dresses were all pieces that cemented Altuzarra’s talent and justified his CFDA win! 😀2. JASON WU Who wouldn’t love the helmut newtonesque collection that Wu sent down the runway, ln a black and nude palette with plenty of leather complete with dark red lips. Perfect!3. SUNO: The off beat layering might not have a tonnes of fans, but the styling of layer upon layer of beautiful prints were stunning! If you love mishmash, Suno would have you enthralled.4. RAG AND BONE: Fantastic fabrics, wearable silhouettes that are great standalone as well as layering friendly. Each of those jackets I wanted. BAD.5. PROENZA SCHOULER This designer duo time and again set the bar very high. Doesn’t matter if they are exploring a concept that has been done before – like digital printing or mixed media material exploration, they manage to do a new take on it that is fresh and appealing. 6.RODARTE This collection was a throwback to the costume of the medieval times – leather trim, corsetry and lace detail. I did think of “game of thrones” more than once while looking at their pieces 🙂7. MARC JACOBS A collection diametrically opposite to what he showed previously – A perfect homage to all things 60’s. 8. THEYSKEN’S THEORY Inspired by the deep sea, his color palette was predominantly dark- black, mossy greens, dark blues with a smattering of iridescent sequins. The staple pieces were there – the classic skinny jacket and the ankle grazing pant but he took a few risks with the cut and I’d say it paid off.9. CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION Minimalism is translated into a an erotic sexy new look. Clean cuts, phenomenal detailing puts this collection right up the red carpet alley!10. DONNA KARAN The undisputed queen of draping. I loved her muted palette of sea foam, blues, soft-shell pinks and beiges! The pieces were dreamy and urban albeit lacked just a little edge. Which ones did you love?
