You probably live under a rock if you haven’t yet noticed the influx of printed pants:P Okay I exaggerate but you know that’s how I roll:) When the outdoors feel like an oven, wearing a pair of jeans/ pants is just short of self- immolation 😉 And yes technically I could live in dresses and shorts but Ahem…waxing is one of my least favorite things ever! So that’s where these come in. Made of light weight chiffon/ silk/ whatever else your budget may allow, they are drapey, light weight and have this “loungey” feel about them that I love! Infact I liked them so much I may have bought one too many pairs more than what is considered normal 😛 Happy friday folks
Imagine taking all of your favorite fashion things and putting it in one frame… someone read my mind and the result was this image! The nautical stripes paired with the citrus , the transparent clutch box with those round sunglasses, and that little touch of turquoise from the ring.. aahhhh… I need a holiday ….also a manicure! 😉 😛
Granted a little black dress is a classic wardrobe piece, but in summer it’s only fair I switch it for something a little more colorful! Enter this kelly green dress which I paired with a navy blazer and yellow jelly peep toes( Yes more color) and I am rain/sun/ “whatever-else-NY-weather-chooses-to-be” ready 😀
How’s everyone doing? Have I been missed? Because I sure missed blogging and it feels good to be back after such a fun weekend 😀 Getting back to work after the entire week filled with birthday festivities.. now that’s another story 😉 Anyway after a week of being M.I.A, it’s only fair that I let you in on what I did 🙂
1. If anyone needed yet another reason to go shopping and not feel guilty about it ,that’s me! 🙂 Prat and I went all out 😀2. From ramen, to bipimbap to indian grub, I was more than happy to indulge myself and not having to worry about a thing! During birthday week, anything goes 😛 3. I love the outdoors and the water so imagine my excitement when Prat took me kayaking to red hook! 🙂 and the weather behaved 😀4. A year older didn’t mean we had to be any less sillier 😛 we walked around in matching espadrilles.. 😉 5. Bought the brightest lipstick in the store to celebrate being an adult 😛 Take that first strand of grey 😉6. gifts.. gifts.. gifts.. B) both giving and receiving
7. Yet another surprise from Prat when he took me to the Stephen Burrows exhibit at the new york museum followed by a little discussion with the designer himself. How thoughtful is this guy!<38. Why I havent ever gone bowling before I don’t know.. but what I do know is that I am going to do it a lot more! FUN FUN FUN!!:)9. Had a ball watching all the flamboyantly dressed mermaids at the Coney Island mermaid parade… totally worth being fried to a crisp!10. Cutting a cake might be an ultimate birthday cliche but not when it is has a question mark candle one it and is made of ice cream 😉 Looking back at it, one thing is for sure.. Growing old and growing up have nothing to do with each other 😛 Happy day!
I love me some red…. the super saturated, bright kind! I own several red blouses, a couple of shoes… And yes if you haven’t noticed I wear a red lip every other day!;) So I am not sure what stopped me from wearing red pants …. until NOW! Sure it can make you look a teeny bit bigger( especially if you pick a cropped version like I did) than what you really are…. but why do you think wedges were made? 😉 Also yes… florals yet again B) Have a great weekend everyone!
Hello all you lovely people!,
If each day is a gift, I would like to know where to return monday! 😉 But since that doesn’t seem plausible, I’d rather get through it thinking of what a great week I had… here are somethings that made my week memorable!
1. Sue me but I am no fan of donuts! But I wolfed a dulce de leche churro donut from Tres Carnes in record time.. Yumm!! 🙂 2. Got a fancy watch which may or may not be an early birthday gift 😀3. Watched The Purge.. I enjoyed the premise of the movie; the theatre full of screaming kids.. not so much 😛4. Ever since the weather turned for good, I have been sincerely trying to go to the gym. Motivation!! 🙂 5. Went into food coma at My Thai. Their grub is the stuff dreams are made of! 😀Have a great week folks!:)
Peach is such a flattering color irrespective of skin tone, not to mention pastels look very feminine and summer-ready! 🙂 So I decided to wear a peachy orange for my next installment of my orange series and the results are here for you to see 😀
PS: Don’t let the side braid and the flared skirt fool you into thinking I behave like a lady 😛 Happy Friday!
