Off late I find myself spending too much energy thinking.. not the good thinking.. more like what if, then what, now what, but, if, how?!! And seriously it is doing no favors for my sleep or my skin 😛 I have decided to draw a line and just let go of all this over analyzing and instead focus on things I can actually control…. Like how big of a piece of dark chocolate I can to eat RIGHT NOW! Errr am not sure I have any control over that either! 😉 Happy hump day!
Finally life returns to normalcy in Gotham, what with all the sun we are getting 😛 Hope you’ll made the most of the weekend because I know I did 🙂 Here’s what went by last week.
1. Indulged my sweet tooth at L.A.burdick. Their hot chocolate is killer! 2. Found this top on sale at Anthropologie..and I love how feminine and “holiday- time” it looks! 3. SHOE gawker alert! The shoe exhibit currently on show at FIT is a must see 🙂4. It’s always fun to send a pic like this to your mom and hear an earful about how you shouldn’t be drinking alcohol and behaving badly and then watch her eat her words when you tell her it’s just cream soda.. 😛 BTW How yum is cream soda.. 5. Trust the “east village-rs” to come up with an installation with an old discarded chair 🙂 Here’s wishing you all a very happy week:D
Those of you’ll who’ve been to/live in New York have probably eaten at or at least heard of Eataly. Owned in part by renowned chef Mario Batali, this 5000 sq foot expanse houses exquisite varieties of pasta, sauces, artisanal cheeses, chocolates and beer apart from signature italian dishes. But what I wanted to mention was a small corner of the restaurant- The Pasticceria or more familiarly their bakery section that features some of the best dessert I have ever tasted! The sweet treats come in mini size portions in variations like chocolate, caramel and fresh fruit (in adorable little plastic dishes) that are delicious, light and not cloyingly sweet(what’s more there are several sugar free versions too if calories bother you)! So next time you are around flatiron, head to Eataly, sink your teeth into one of their mini dolcis .. and while you are at it try their pistachio gelato too 😀 Bon Appetit!
