I love long coats, those mid calf ones that threaten to engulf you … especially when you are like 4 foot tall (My husband’s words not mine:P). But that should not stop any of us not-tall folks from wearing them. Not that anyone in New york needs them yet considering you can go out in a sweater in MID DECEMBER( Whatever happened to white christmas? :P). So here’s how I made it work
- Button the thing and hope for the best:P
- Maybe show a peek of your clothes underneath to distract 😀
- Take the thing off, and make sure you have a chunky turtle neck underneath to keep you warm Hahah TADAAAAOn a more serious note, heeled boots and or a confident smile should do a the trick! 😉 Have a wonderful day
I have said it before and I’ll say it again.. NY is frigid! No matter how many layers I wear, my feet still end up cold unless I pull on my beat up faux fur lined boots, which are just perfecttt to wear to the …. mmm grocery store? 😛 I needed a pair of boots that kept me warm while being versatile enough to wear in public! Several weeks of religious browsing and window shopping yielded the prize! I found a pair that was a rich brown, fit my feet/wallet and was just right for my height( or lack thereof :P) ! Maybe that’s why I look so happy?? 😉
You’ll must have seen this coming considering I was waxing eloquent on the virtues of mustard last week! Now this is what I would call my ” Too proud to step out in pajamas, but lazy enough to not make too much of an effort” look. Just throw on a tank, a pair of beat up jeans, and a cardigan which is actually a baby blanket with sleeves 😛 Exactly what a wednesday morning needs 😉 Happy “2 days until friday” day
My love for mustard was limited to putting them on my sandwiches and burgers but now it looks like it has a place in my wardrobe too ;P Considering how many mustard sweaters, blouses and pants I’ve been seeing around in stores, I probably am not the only one nodding my head in approval! 😀 I think the color perfectly complements fall dressing and it agrees with a myriad of skin tones. I love this boyfriend blazer which lends itself to being styled in so many ways – the fact that it is cut below the hips gives me the courage to eat an extra slice of pumpkin pie 😛 Anyone else in camp mustard? Oh and Happy hump day you guys!
